On 22 December 2022, the Lower House voted by a majority in favour of the proposal for the Future of Pensions Act. The Senate will consider the proposal in the coming months.

The government is coming up with new rules for pensions. These new rules are going to change your pension scheme. The Lower House has agreed to the Future Pensions Act containing these pension rules. In the coming months, the Senate will consider the law. If the Senate also agrees, the law will take effect on 1 July 2023. The new pension scheme must take effect no later than 1 January 2027. 

Agree new pension scheme

When the new legislation comes into force, it will be Mars' turn. Mars must then agree on the transition to the new pension scheme. We will help them do this. We have already started preparations.
