What does our pension plan not provide?

Checked on:

No accrual of pension on salary above € 137.800

If your full-time pensionable salary is higher than € 137.800 (in 2024), you will not accrue pension on your salary above this amount. There is also no insurance of partner’s and orphan's pension for this part of your salary. You should consider whether you wish to arrange a personal insurance on this amount.

Please note: it is possible that you earn less than € 137.800 (2024), but your full-time salary is still higher than this figure. For example:

Ellen works 20 hours (2.5 days a week) and earns € 70,000 a year. Her full-time annual salary is 2 x € 70,000 = € 140,000. This is higher than € 137,800. Ellen accrues pension only on her salary up to € 137,800. But because she works part-time (at 50%), Ellen also accrues pension on 50% of this amount, in this case up to € 68,900. 50% of the deductible (€ 25,666,55 in 2024) still has to be deducted.

If prior to working at Mars you have accrued a pension with another employer, you cannot take this with you to the Mars pension fund.
