Orphan's pension

If you die, your children will receive an orphan’s pension

The orphan's pension is paid to children up to the age of eighteen and/or studying children up to the age of 27. The total orphan's pension that is paid out is capped. It is a maximum of 5/7 of the partner's pension or, if you are already retired, a maximum of 50% of the retirement pension that you accrued when you retired. If this maximum is reached, the orphan's pension is reduced. Each child then receives an equal share.

The total amount of orphan's pension paid is capped at 5/7 of the partner's pension or, if you have already retired, at 50% of the retirement pension you had accrued on your retirement date. If this cap is reached, the orphan's pension is reduced. Each child will then receive an equal part.
