Increasing your 'extra pension'

The final salary scheme has been adjusted a few times in recent years. Part of the pension was then set aside. This pension is the 'extra pension'. We do try to increase this pension. This increase is unconditional for the part that you accrued up to 2015 (EOP 1). You can therefore be sure that your "extra pension" will follow the wage index each year.

For the part that you accrued from 1 January 2015 (EOP2), the supplement is conditional. Therefore, you cannot count on an increase every year for that part of your extra pension. As long as you are employed by Mars, the supplement is linked to the wage index. The Mars Pension Fund board decides on this every year based on our financial situation.

The increase can sometimes be higher than the wage increase because we rely on preliminary figures. This will be corrected one year later.
