Retirement pension (ARP/ASP)

When you retire, you will receive a retirement pension for as long as you live.

Retirement pension is - together with your statutory retirement pension (AOW) - your monthly income when you stop working and retire. You will receive this pension for as long as you live. The amount of your retirement pension is not known in advance. This depends on the capital sums accrued in your ARP and/or ASP account at your retirement date and how much pension you can purchase for this capital.

Retirement pension

Retirement pension is - together with your statutory retirement pension (AOW) - your monthly income when you stop working and retire. You will receive this pension for as long as you live. The amount of your retirement pension is not known in advance. This depends on the capital sums accrued in your ARP and/or ASP account at your retirement date and how much pension you can purchase for this capital.

The ARP/ASP plan is a defined contribution plan (defined contribution agreement). You accrue capital with the contributions that are paid in. This contribution will depend on your age and your personal choices. The return generated on your capital is not known in advance. This means that we cannot say at this point how much capital you will have on your retirement date.

AOW

Your retirement pension is an addition to your AOW pension (old-age pension), the pension that you will receive from the government when you reach your AOW age. The date at which your AOW pension comes into payment depends on your date of birth. For the amounts and the start date, visit the website www.svb.nl.

MyMarsPension

In MyMarsPension, you will find an indication of your financial situation at your retirement date. Here you will see how much pension you can expect from the Mars Pension Fund and your AOW pension. You can also make various calculations to see the implications of taking early retirement or the effect of other choices for your pension

The amount of your retirement pension is shown in your Uniform Pension Overview (UPO). This is sent to you once a year. Your UPO is also filed under My Documents. To see the total pension you have accrued, including at any former employers, go to  www.mijnpensioenoverzicht.nl
