A significant milestone

The board has completed its review of the Transition Plan and accepted the assignment from Mars and the Works Councils to implement the new pension plan. This marks a significant milestone in the transition to the new pension plan, which will take effect on January 1, 2028. To ensure that members are well informed about all the changes in the coming years, an Implementation Plan and Transition Communication Plan has also been drawn up

The agreements reached by Mars and the Works Councils regarding the new pension plan are recorded in the Transition Plan. This plan outlines, among other things, what the new plan will look like, how high contributions will be, and how the retirement and survivor’s pensions are organized.

The board has carefully assessed the Transition Plan and has checked whether the agreements are understandable, feasible, and balanced. This assessment is now complete, and the board has accepted the assignment to implement the new pension plan.

Implementation plan submitted to DNB

To carefully prepare for the transition, an Implementation Plan has been drawn up and submitted to De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB). This plan outlines how the pension fund will implement the new plan. DNB will assess the Implementation Plan.

In the coming period, we will continue to work on preparing for the transition to the new pension plan. We believe it is important to keep members well-informed and involved in all steps in a timely manner. That is why, along with the Implementation Plan, a Transition Communication Plan has also been drawn up. The Transition Communication Plan is send to Autoriteit Financiele Markten (AFM) for their assessment. The Transition Communication Plan outlines how we will inform you step by step over the coming years about what is changing, what will remain the same, and when you will receive more personalized information.
