The House of Representatives and the Senate have approved the Future Pensions Act.
The new legislation comes into force. Mars and the Works Councils discuss the transition to the new pension plan. Mars Pension Fund supports them with information and advice.
Mars and the Works Councils have reached an agreement on the new pension plan and have set it out in a transition plan. You can find summaries of this plan here.
The Mars Pension Fund Board has accepted the mandate to implement the new pension plan. An implementation plan has been submitted to De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB), along with a transition communication plan. View a summary of that plan here.
Mars Pension Fund is preparing for the transition to the new pension plan. External supervisors DNB and AFM check whether this is going well.
Before the actual transition to the new pension plan, you will receive a personal overview and an explanation of what the changes mean for you. We expect to share this information with you by the end of 2027.
The government has decided that the new pension plan must come into effect no later than 1 January 2028. This is also the effective date for Mars.
Once the fund’s coverage ratio has been determined as of January 1, 2028, we will be able to finalize the amounts. We expect to be able to share the final personal amounts with you in mid-2028.
