Following the approval from DNB, Fred Nieuwland has been officially appointed as the new chairperson of Mars Pension Fund.

In 2022, William Ettinger stepped down as chairperson of Mars Pension Fund after 25 years. In January 2023, the intended new chairperson, Fred Nieuwland, was approved by DNB. This means that Fred Nieuwland has been officially appointed chairperson of Mars Pension Fund.

Former chairperson William Ettinger:

“I’ve known Fred since 2006 when he joined Mars. We worked together a lot. He has shown himself to be a worthy successor: enthusiastic and determined. He can rely on a good team and excellent board members to support him, and the fund is in good shape. I have great confidence in the people behind Mars Pension Fund and I am handing over my job with every confidence.”
