The start of Mars Pension Fund’s new pension plan as per January 1, 2027 was not feasible. Mars Pension Fund is now expected to introduce the new pension plan on January 1, 2028.

In 2024, the House of Representatives approved the new pension choice known as ‘lump sum’. The Senate recently indicated that it would only consider this proposal once the new minister had announced a clear start date.

Following the expiry of the current term of office of one member of the Accountability Council representing pensioners and one member of the Accountability Council representing active members, two vacancies have arisen within the Accountability Council of Mars Pension Fund.

Following the expiration of the current term of two board members representing active members, two vacancies for board positions will arise within the board of Mars Pension Fund.

Every month, you receive your pension from Mars Pension Fund on or around the 1st day of the month. Starting in July 2026, we will change the payment date for your pension to the 20th of each month. This change does not mean that you will miss a payment, but that you will receive it later in the same month.

We are starting the new year with our new pension administrator, Blue Sky Group. This transition to a new administrator does not change anything about (the amount of) your pension. However, from now on we can be reached via a new phone number and e-mail address.

Good news! As of 1 January 2022 we will grant a full indexation of 1.75% for all retirees and deferred members in the Final Pay plan.

Despite the pandemic, the year 2021 turned out to be a very good year for us. Under difficult circumstances, we managed to bring in a very good return of almost 10%, and with a policy funding ratio exceeding 125%  we are also out of recovery. DNB wants us to have at least 123%, so we are now well above that. The monthly funding ratio is even above 130%.
