The start of Mars Pension Fund’s new pension plan as per January 1, 2027 was not feasible. Mars Pension Fund is now expected to introduce the new pension plan on January 1, 2028.

In 2024, the House of Representatives approved the new pension choice known as ‘lump sum’. The Senate recently indicated that it would only consider this proposal once the new minister had announced a clear start date.

Following the expiry of the current term of office of one member of the Accountability Council representing pensioners and one member of the Accountability Council representing active members, two vacancies have arisen within the Accountability Council of Mars Pension Fund.

Following the expiration of the current term of two board members representing active members, two vacancies for board positions will arise within the board of Mars Pension Fund.

Every month, you receive your pension from Mars Pension Fund on or around the 1st day of the month. Starting in July 2026, we will change the payment date for your pension to the 20th of each month. This change does not mean that you will miss a payment, but that you will receive it later in the same month.

Mars Pension Fund's pension plan is quite flexible. Part-time pension is for many older employees an excellent way to reach the finish line in good health. It is therefore logical that we regularly receive questions about it. More and more employees are making use of it.

As of 1 January 2020, we will increase the pensions in effect for active participants by the full supplement: 1.98%.

On 24 October we held 3 workshops on how to use the pension planner. A total of 44 participants found a place in the workshops. After a short explanation about the pension plan, they mainly got to work themselves.

Interest rates have been falling for 30 years. To put it simply: for people, organizations and countries with debts, that's nice. They pay less for having those debts. But that is less pleasant for people, organizations and countries with savings. Their money does not grow or hardly grows.
