We aim to increase the pensions of the final pay plan every year (indexation). As per January, 1, 2025, the pensions of pensioners and deferred members of the final pay plan will be increased by 2.62%.

Talking is Fred Nieuwland, chairman of the Mars Pension Fund board: “Currently, all parties are working on the transition plan, which should be completed by the end of the year.”

The interest accrual for the ARP plan for the first half of 2025 has been set. For active as well as deferred members this is 1.53% on an annual basis.

The government has again postponed the introduction of a lump sum from January 2025 to July 1, 2025 at the earliest.

Earlier this year we informed you about two vacancies for the Accountability Council. We were looking to appoint new members representing employees and the pensioners. Both vacancies have since been filled.

The interest accrual for the ARP plan for the second half of 2024 has been set. For active members this is 4.14% on an annual basis. For deferred members this is 3.98%.
