Elections board member on behalf of pensioners

Are you a pensioner of Mars Pensioenfonds? The term of the board member on behalf of the pensioners, Harry Faassen, ends on 1 July. We would like to invite you to nominate yourself as a board member of Mars Pensioenfonds. Harry Faassen is also available for reappointment for a term of 4 years. Tasks of the board

The most important task of the board is to ensure that all pensions are paid correctly and on time. For this we collect the pension contributions and we manage and invest the pension funds. The board also adopts the fund's pension regulations. In it it says:

  • how we calculate the pensions;
  • what obligations you have to receive a pension.

The board of the pension fund consists of six people. The board consists of people on behalf of the employer, the employees and the pensioners.

  • a motivation as to why you are suitable for the position on the board;
  • 2 references with whom we can contact and where we can check both your reliability and expertise for this position; and
  • your resume.

About the job role

When you start working as a director, it is important that you have an affinity with pensions and pension-related topics. You also have good social and communication skills and you speak and write good Dutch and English. You also have reasonable financial knowledge and you are preferably familiar with pension and social security legislation.

The Dutch Central Bank also tests you for expertise and reliability.

In addition, a candidate must be willing to:

  • take courses on pension-related topics;
  • attend board meetings and any committee meetings of the pension fund board;
  • to travel to meeting locations, in Veghel and now and then Oud-Beijerland.

The board members receive a limited remuneration for their board activities. Travel costs are also reimbursed.
