Annual rebalancing of the Life Cycle and Free Investment

2 September 2015

Price developments may affect the composition of a particular portfolio, as a result of which it may temporarily deviate from the Life Cycle and Free Investment. This is checked once a year and adjusted if necessary. This annual check was performed in July for the Vanguard funds in the Life Cycle and Freely Invested.

With this check, the actual investments were brought back into balance with the original weighting. This is called "rebalancing. Rebalancing keeps the risk and allocation of the respective portfolio at the desired level. The impact of the shifts will be visible on the upcoming investment statement on the website, through a simultaneous purchase and sale of the investment funds involved.
